About Kevin

Kevin Whitlark is the architect of the One Hundred And One concept and creator of the whimsical characters who bring it to life. He lives in Atlanta with his wife, Lisa, and six children, Erin, Forrest, Kate, Anna Elizabeth, Mary Grace, and Liam.

Whitlark has a rare and natural ability to capture a wide range of emotions in his art, embodying those human characteristics in thousands of animal characters who endear themselves to people universally.

If Whitlark’s art looks familiar to you, then it’s probably because he has been putting his talents to good use over the past twenty-plus years. In addition to writing and illustrating numerous picture books, he has owned and operated a greeting card company-On A Lark Greetings-and has teamed with companies such as American Greetings, Recycled Paper, Andrews McMeel, Universal Press Syndicate (of Far Side and Garfield fame), and Scholastic to sell millions of greeting cards, books and other products based on his artwork.

Whitlark has manufactured his own products and has licensed his art for use on dozens of lines that have been sold worldwide, including balloons, mugs, memo pads, gift bags and wrap, address books, posters, fine prints, t-shirts and other apparel, magnets, key chains, edible greeting cards, electronic greeting cards, polyresin figurines, plush toys, books, calendars, stickers, notebooks, photo albums, note cards, pet products, and puzzles.

One Hundred And One Studios is now working with Kevin to release multiple series of children’s books, digital interactive content, games, toys, puzzles, and a host of other exciting new products.
